Christopher Ciccone
Christopher Ciccone’s background runs the gamut from one-man art exhibitions, the directing and design of major concert tours, music videos, and film, to commercial, residential interior and furniture design. Ciccone brings all of these eclectic and critically acclaimed experiences to Bernhardt Design through his line of furnishings for this renowned design institution.

The Ciccone collection borrows selectively from the Deco sensibility with the designer’s signature use of sumptuous lines, smooth surfaces and fine materials. Ciccone was so pleased with the line he incorporated the designs into another of his endeavors—the design of Michelle Jean’s New York restaurant, Oriont. The Oriont VIP room showcases the designer’s furniture designs available through Bernhardt Design.

Originally from Detroit, Ciccone graduated from the University of Michigan in 1981. Since that time, his work has graced the covers of major design publications throughout the world. His award-winning work for music video and music tour productions for Madonna is unparalleled and his artwork is shown regularly in New York and Paris.

Ciccone has also shared his talents with such charitable organizations as AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA), New York’s Living With AIDS Foundation, and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. In addition to gaining national attention, his work has been recognized in numerous international publications including The Evening Standard, the London Sunday Times, Paris Match and Elle Paris. He also frequently contributes as a writer for Interview magazine.

The owner and designer of Atlantic restaurant in Los Angeles, Ciccone maintains a bi-coastal presence with offices in both New York and LA. Over the past few years, he has spent his time focusing on film direction and screen-writing, but takes time out to work on special commercial and residential design commissions. "My only real need in life is to be creative, from whatever quarter that may come," explains Ciccone. His furniture lines through Bernhardt Design has provided another venue for Ciccone to express his particular brand of style and elegance.
