Jorge Cruzata
Of Peruvian and Cuban origin, Jorge Cruzata was born in Los Angeles and grew up in a culturally rich environment. Sharing an interest in fashion with his mother, he secured a position with Barneys New York where he developed an appreciation for the meticulous creative talent required to design a piece of couture.

Relocating to the KCP Language Institute in Tokyo, Cruzata’s passion for the arts and architecture was realized. After returning home from Japan, he began a design internship at Marmol Radziner and Associates in Los Angeles, California.

Cruzata was accepted to Art Center College of Design where he is currently studying environmental design on a full academic scholarship. Since the beginning of his academic career, his work is regularly exhibited. His Mobile Modular Art exhibition, which Cruzata designed in collaboration with three other students, was featured editorially in the Pasadena Newspaper.

Cruzata’s keen awareness of the thread that links fashion with furniture design serves as inspiration within his own design own methodology.
